Some surprises here. Okay, not really. At least I’ve seen some of the movies this time around. Jacki Weaver is a surprise, though, because she a) has hardly any screen time and b) does very little for the film.

Anne will win just because she let them cut her hair for real. By Hollywood standards, that makes her better than everybody else. But it’s nice to see Helen Hunt in the running again. I thought she died.
She has a chance because Hollywood loves it some musicals,especially ones with strong pedigrees, but I don’t think she’ll win.
